MOMMY KNOW'S BEST>LUTONG BAHAY

Welcome to my food tripping lutong bahay mommy know's best?I cooked for my family everyday....but sometimes take away is the best easy option that i have.Here are some of my easy lutong bahay recipe that i will share for you. Start to this seabass fish sambal,for your info.you can used any kind of fish you want: after you clean the fish heat the oil in the pan and deep fried it,set aside when you done.For the rest ingredients you will need red chili,1pc.onion,2 gloves of garlic,small ginger,tamarind paste diluted into a water if you dont have tamarind paste you can always substitute it with lime or lemon juice,2tsp.of sugar,oil,and coriander for garnishing.Then put all this ingr.in a blender,when you noticed that it start turning to a paste then that is your sambal,we go to next step: in a wok or pan heat some oil and then add the sambal paste that you blend,wait for 5minutes till you will noticed that sambal sauce starting to become thick,then add some salt for taste and its time to add the fish that you fried earlier,stir it well so that the sambal sauce will cover the fish...and thats it here is your seabass fish sambal originally a malaysian dish.
 CHICKEN CURRY WITH PINEAPPLE,POTATO,@ND SULTANA(RAISINS)
Ingredients:
Cleaned pieces of chicken
chicken masala powder 5tbs
slice 1pc.onion
garlic
ginger
tomato 2pcs.
chili
curry leaves(optional)
mustard seed
oil
Here are the cooking instructions,heat 3tbsp.oil in a pan add the mustard seed and let it splutter,add sliced onion,ginger,garlic,tomato and green chili or red,and the curry leaves sautee it well.Then mixed chicken masala powder with a little bit of water to form a paste sautee well,then add the chicken pieces,salt and a little water mixed it well cover and cooked it in a low flame till the gravy become thick.....then its ready to served?

 BANANA CAKE
3pcs.ripe banana
2eggs
2 cups self raising flour sifted
1tsp.baking powder
1cup of fresh milk

First feel the banana,put it in a bowl,and start mashing it,add the 2 eggs,flour,baking powder and a cup of fresh milk,then mixed it all together till it smooth,note you can always use electric mixer if you want....and then you ready to transfer it into a baking tins and bake it for 20 to 30mins....and thats my own easy version of banana cake,isn't it so simple enjoy making it.
 
And last but not the least a pinoy version of
TAHONG OR MUSSELS GINGER SOUP:
You will need a kilo of mussels or tahong,ginger,onion,garlic,oil and chicken knorr cubes for taste.Then heat your wok add the oil ginger,garlic onion and add 3cups of water and kapag kumulo na ang water then you can start adding the mussels or tahong and the knorr chicken cubes for taste and just make sure that you dont over cooked the mussels because the taste will be different sea shells are very tasty but if we over cooked it then it start to taste like a rubber so i hoped you enjoy my food tripping lutong bahay mommy know's best....enjoy cooking.

FOOD FAIR/MUSIC/ART/CRAFT/@nd JEWELRIES

Welcome to Glor food fair,march 17th 2011 the same celebration of st.patrick day,last year food tripper was in rowan cafe,and this year my friend ton tell me about this food fair at the glor.We all meet up in town with toni rose family,her mum in law,angel and sinead,and ofcoarse me and my two kiddoz.
 St.Patrick parade was ok a lot of people on that day,eventhough the weather is cold.After the parade we decided to check out whats the food fair like so we went to glor and when we reach there it was very busy,the whole area was covered of people....and the cafe was fully occupied by all this people having a lunch and enjoying thier meal.


We all decided to have our lunch in thier because kids
 are hungry,we just waited for a while to find available
 table and then we got it.All the mummy's went to the
 counter and order food,they dont have much choices
 but if your hungry you can just tuck in whatever it is.

We order seafood chowder with brown soda bread,a
 spaghetti bolognese,and a chicken voulevant with a
 side of roast potato and a side salad.And coke @
 sprite for drinks,surprisengly the portion of each meal
 was really a great valued for money...kids couldn't even
 finish their food,over all meal was fantastic we all enjoy
 it and worth it waiting for a table.

After the meal we look around taking some pics.of what glor can offer,i took the picture of some art they have, a set of a wooden table and chair, a handcrafted assorted base,a knitted scarf and hat,and a variety of jewelries.Me and my friend ton actually take some photo with those display since taking picture is allowed.


After that picture taking we went to a new park just around town,for kids to enjoy and to bond,all though they see each other every day in school but is different when they were outside.Kind of disappointed really when we reach there because,that park area is supposed to be for just toddler,and kids with mummy's looking after them,but instead all this teenagers was all in there,,,,,,we just stay there for maybe half in hour,and then we all walk back to the town.Ton decided to send the kids home while we mummy's are going for a coffee break at bb's,we had a lot of topic when we seat down and relaxing,a laugh,a romantic story about cat fish that is very relating to normal ordinary people.Having a coffee lattee with a caramel muffin each of usis just melting in your mouth..

Kiddoz enjoying their meal,while chatting to each other,they really enjoy this day with lots of fun and another year experience of st.patrick day.
The amazing,beautiful wooden table and chairs such a talented person who ever created this well done.Below was an irish concert held in glor as well,they actually a lot of going on event in glor as you can see all the pics.in here.
